BRENT AVERILL 1073 USED SERIES
BRENT AVERILL 1073 USED PORTABLE
The BAE 1073 slightly compresses transients, as well. Before I built up my own studio, I used to carry around a portable case with original Neve 1272 and API 312 mic preamps that Brent Averill Enterprises had racked for me. It smoothes the top end, giving the highs a silky sheen. It seems to add subharmonics to the low end which makes the bottom end sound huge. Obviously I won't split these up as 2 mono units for sale, as they share a power supply. The BAE 1073 WPS (formerly Brent Averill Enterprises) preamp yields a really fat sound. I love that it has instrument input on the front, makes it VERY versatile for DI-ing etc. There have been comparisons done in the studio and at AES Los Angeles. There have been extensive comparisons between the Vintech X73 and Brent Averill and Original Neve modules. It is built with the same components and design as the Neve 1073 module. Recently serviced and tested by desert island audio, so it's good to go, plug, play and enjoy, It's Clean and sounds great, obviously shows it's age a little, and some rack rash, but I've treated these units with the white glove treatment. The Vintech X73 is an all discrete Class A mic preamp with equalizer.
These will be racked in a flight case which I'll throw in for free. We also have other studio items for sale so be sure to check our s. Aroom Audio strives to bring the best in modern and vintage gear for your studio. Legendary sound heard on countless hit records. Early versions, made by Brent Averill himself. Rarely do these come up for sale - there's actually a couple available on reverb right now, but they're more expensive. Brent Averill 1073 preamp equalizer modules.
Level, pan and send per channel, along with mute. Missing bottom panel to rack but doesnt effect functionality. Matching pair, I've used these mainly as the go to for my grand piano mics, preamp / eq, but I'm currently headed in a different direction for my sound. Brent Averill Neve 10x2 Summing Mixer For sale is a rare Brent Averill Enterprises BAE 10x2 Summing Mixer with class A vintage Neve transformers/amp components. This is a beautiful piece of kit, in so many ways identical to a Neve 1073, and in others different (And dare I say it) better sounding! if you're on this page you probably know what this piece of kit is.īrent was the master - having worked with so many Neve parts and making so many converted 1272's into racked pre amps before reverse engineering 1073's and creating a clone.īrent's company eventually became "BAE" which I'm sure you're familiar with.
